Falmouth University is one of the top arts universities in the country. Their English and Writing department needed a 24 page brochure to outline their courses and act as a promotional tool – and they needed it in just two weeks. There’s nothing like a tight deadline to focus the mind.
I love projects like this though – I love breaking down lots of different elements and reassembling them in a clear, logical order. I came up a standardised visual layout for the course pages that made them easy to navigate, the information presented in an accessible way with the reader’s eye being led through the page.
There wasn’t much wriggle room in terms of timescales so accuracy was also vital – my years working in press advertising certainly helped there. At the end of two weeks, the brochure was approved, artworked and sent to print.
